Softball Recap: San Simon Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valley Union, San Simon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Madison Highland Prep Heat as San Simon made off with a 23-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Longhorns considering their two-run performance the match before.

San Simon's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Madison Highland Prep, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Simon will face off against St. David at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. St. David's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so San Simon's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Madison Highland Prep, they will take on Camp Verde at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
