Football Recap: Western Christian Skates Past Indio with Ease + How To Watch

While Western Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Indio Rajahs 47-6 on Friday. The victory was just business as usual for the Fighting Lancers, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Western Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Liam Kawamura, who rushed for 124 yards on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Doolittle, who threw for 93 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Western Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 329 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Western Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Aidan Oliva, Marco Beltran, and Kawamura picked up one apiece. Oliva also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 14. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Western Christian's record is now 4-0. As for Indio, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Western Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Silver Valley at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Indio, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-16 victory against San Gorgonio on the 19th.
