Recap: Amplus Academy Archers vs. Cheyenne Desert Shields
On Thursday, Amplus Academy came up short against Cheyenne and fell 56-47. Amplus Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Amplus Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Falna Ahferom, who scored 16 points, and Cody Clark who scored 15 points. Ahferom scored a full 34% of Amplus Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jhayden Batangan was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Amplus Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cheyenne, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amplus Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Cheyenne, they will head out on the road to face off against Canyon Springs at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Canyon Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Cheyenne likes a good challenge.
