Softball Preview: Danville Ironmen vs. Loyalsock Township Lancers
The Danville Ironmen will square off against the Loyalsock Township Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Danville will be strutting in after a win while Loyalsock Township will be coming in after a defeat.
Danville will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Bloomsburg on Wednesday. Danville blew past Bloomsburg 20-1. The game marked the Ironmen's most dominant victory of the season so far.

Jillian Lowe was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Danville let Breece Wilson and Peyton Litwin run wild. Wilson scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Litwin scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Ava Koser was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
Danville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Loyalsock Township had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 9-3 to Lake-Lehman last Wednesday.
