Basketball Game Preview: Resurrection Catholic Eagles vs. East Marion Eagles

Resurrection Catholic hasn't had much luck against East Marion recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Resurrection Catholic Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the East Marion Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Resurrection Catholic is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on January 7th. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-0 to Lumberton, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, East Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to Salem on the road by a 38-20 margin.

Kylie Watts was East Marion's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Adrinae Aikens held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Natalee Dillon took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Resurrection Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.
