Softball Recap: Wayland-Cohocton Wins Going Away Against Newark

Wayland-Cohocton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Newark on Saturday. The Eagles blew past the Reds 16-1.

Wayland-Cohocton's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Newark, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Wayland-Cohocton is headed away from home for the first time to take on Hornell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Newark, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Waterloo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
