Preview: Martensdale-St. Mary's vs. Lynnville-Sully
On Friday Lynnville-Sully will take on Martensdale-St. Mary's at 7:00 PM. Lynnville-Sully will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Lynnville-Sully might be getting used to good results now that the squad has five wins in a row. Everything came up roses for them against North Mahaska last Friday as the squad secured a 48-12 victory. Followers of Lynnville-Sully probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Martensdale-St. Mary's, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-76 to Wayne. Martensdale-St. Mary's were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-54.
Lynnville-Sully's win lifted them to 6-2 while Martensdale-St. Mary's's defeat dropped them down to 0-8. We'll find out if Lynnville-Sully can add another positive mark to their record or if Martensdale-St. Mary's can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Lynnville-Sully's step.
