Football Game Preview: Cambridge Springs Devils vs. Cochranton Cardinals

The Cambridge Springs Devils will square off against the Cochranton Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cambridge Springs blew Reynolds out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Reynolds got their revenge. The Devils fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 22-19.

Brandon Hoover put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 85 yards.

Meanwhile, Cochranton played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Eisenhower, falling 33-8. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Cambridge Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cochranton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Cambridge Springs against Cochranton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-0 victory. Will the Devils repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
