Soccer Game Preview: Stratford vs. Wando

For the first time this season, Stratford will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will host the Wando Warriors at 7:00 p.m.

Stratford is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Fort Dorchester on Friday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Wando had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wildcats. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while the Wildcats are ranked 39th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pierce Robertson and Caedon Reynolds scored both of Wando's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Stratford's draw gives them a new season record of 2-4-1. As for Wando, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
