Baseball Recap: Wagoner Comes Up Short

Wagoner lost against Edison back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Kale Charboneau was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Klinger, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Wagoner's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Edison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wagoner will welcome Kansas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Edison, they will be playing at home against Summit Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Edison's pitchers better be ready for this one: Summit Christian Academy has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
