Basketball Recap: Claysburg-Kimmel Drops Highest Score of Season Against Southern Huntingdon County

Claysburg-Kimmel scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the loss, Claysburg-Kimmel still got an impressive performance from Brayden Haney, who went 10 of 22 en route to 28 points along with seven assists and three steals. The matchup was Haney's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Treon, who posted nine points.

Claysburg-Kimmel's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Southern Huntingdon County, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Claysburg-Kimmel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-66 win against Curwensville on the 16th.
