Baseball Recap: ABF Academy Homestead Takes a Loss

ABF Academy Homestead was the 7-3 winner over Coral Shores when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The ABF Academy Homestead Bandits fell just short of the Coral Shores Hurricanes by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Bandits have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kyle De Haseth was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also allowed seven hits, marking his first of the season.

At the plate, Alex Reguiera was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Richny Frans was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

ABF Academy Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Coral Shores, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1-1.

Coming up, ABF Academy Homestead will take on ABF Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coral Shores, they will challenge Hialeah at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coral Shores is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
