The Tohopekaliga Tigers will head out to face off against the Master's Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tohopekaliga is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Tohopekaliga took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over South Broward.

Tohopekaliga got a great performance from Anthony Capuana as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Capuana a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

At the plate, Raiden Marcano and Cristian Viali did most of the damage at the plate: Marcano scored a run while going 2-for-5, while Viali scored three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Viali has posted since back in February. Angel Boscan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Master's Academy gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Sunset 8-7.

Julian Mercado was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Trey Seluk, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Master's Academy pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Tohopekaliga, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Tohopekaliga couldn't quite get it done against Master's Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can Tohopekaliga avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
