Basketball Recap: Tri-Township Takes a Loss

Tri-Township lost against Morgan Township back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tri-Township Tigers were outmatched by the Morgan Township Cherokees and fell 64-35. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri-Township's loss came despite strong showings from Dillon Stewart and Ethan Dailey. Stewart dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards, while Dailey posted eight points. The match was Stewart's 11th in a row with at least ten points.

Aidan Johnson had an outrageously good game for Morgan Township as he went 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points along with seven steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Brady Walters, who earned ten points and five steals.

Tri-Township's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Morgan Township, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

Tri-Township will take on Westville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Tri-Township likes a good challenge. Morgan Township has already played their next contest, a 50-43 win against Glenn on the 18th.
