Softball Recap: Paulding Panthers vs. Parkway Panthers
After a string of eight wins, Paulding's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell victim to a rough 14-2 loss at the hands of the Parkway Panthers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Paulding has scored all season.
Maci Kauser was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and an RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Bakle, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and a run.
Having lost for the first time this season, Paulding fell to 8-1. As for Parkway, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-1.
Paulding will head out on the road to face off against Fairview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview is on a four-game streak of home wins, Paulding a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Parkway will take on Allen East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkway is facing Allen East at the right time seeing as Allen East is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
