Soccer Game Preview: Omaha Westside vs. Elkhorn South

The Omaha Westside Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Elkhorn South Storm at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Omaha Westside's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Omaha Westside was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They never let Bellevue West get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Mia Urosevich had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Omaha Westside.

Meanwhile, Elkhorn South's game on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They blew past Millard West 4-1. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Gabby Wagenfuhr was handed one for Elkhorn South, while Millard West got theirs courtesy of Harper Knutsen.

Elkhorn South now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Omaha Westside, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
