Moscow won the last time they faced Sandpoint and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bears were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Moscow got a great performance from Butch Kiblen as he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Kiblen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tyson Izzo was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Isakson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Moscow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
