Providence has gone a perfect 8-0 against Butler recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Providence will be playing in front of their home fans against Butler at 6:15 p.m. Providence is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Providence is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Charlotte Catholic just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Providence couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Bella Dragone, who's now up to 12 this season.

Meanwhile, Butler made easy work of Garinger on Thursday and carried off a 6-1 win. Considering Butler have won five contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Butler and bumps their season record up to 6-3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matchups. As for Providence, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-5.

Providence skirted past Butler 2-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Does Providence have another victory up their sleeve, or will Butler turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
