Basketball Game Preview: Gray Stone Day Knights vs. Albemarle Bulldogs

Gray Stone Day hasn't had much luck against Albemarle recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Gray Stone Day Knights will challenge the Albemarle Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gray Stone Day is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Union Academy 73-28.

Colt Greer put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted nine points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Albemarle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 88-43 loss at the hands of North Rowan. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 273rd).

Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Gray Stone Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Gray Stone Day suffered a grim 56-33 defeat to Albemarle when the teams last played back in January. Can Gray Stone Day avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
