Model Secondary School for the Deaf won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Burke Bengals 68-35. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bengals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Model Secondary School for the Deaf's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Johan Hewapathirana, who posted 16 points. That was a full 45.7% of Model Secondary School for the Deaf's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anakin Kuhns, who earned ten points.
