Volleyball Recap: Van Buren Has No Trouble Against Harrison

Van Buren had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Harrison on Tuesday. The Pointers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Goblins. The game marked the Pointers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

One reason for the win was Van Buren's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-11.

Despite the defeat, Harrison had strong showings from Elissa O'Neal, who had 11 digs, and Taylor Sidani, who had 22 digs and three assists. Sidani has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Van Buren's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Harrison, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
