Volleyball Game Preview: Rockbridge Academy Scots vs. Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles

Rockbridge Academy is 0-3 against Maryland School for the Deaf since August of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Scots will challenge the Orioles at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Rockbridge Academy beat Greater Grace Christian Academy 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-15, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Maryland School for the Deaf had already won ten in a row and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They blew past Perry Hall Christian 3-0.

One reason for the win was Maryland School for the Deaf's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-8, 25-5.

Maryland School for the Deaf's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Rockbridge Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Rockbridge Academy suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Maryland School for the Deaf in their previous matchup on Friday. Can the Scots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
