Basketball Recap: Jacoby Miller Key Part of a Team Effort in Pirates Win

Greensburg posted their closest win since December 29, 2023 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Franklin County Wildcats 48-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Greensburg got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacoby Miller out in front who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Lance Coy, who scored six points.

Despite the loss, Franklin County still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Kemp, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Gillman, who had eight points.

The victory got Greensburg back to even at 3-3. As for Franklin County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Greensburg has already played their next match, a 66-42 defeat against Warren Central on the 27th. As for Franklin County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-50 win against White River Valley on the 27th.
