Baseball Game Preview: Danville Hawks vs. Hatton Hornets

The Danville Hawks will take on the Hatton Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hatton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Danville, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Danville turned things around against Tharptown on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawks considering their one-run performance the game before.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Hatton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 10-6 to Austin.

Owen Brackin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Hatton is 4-1 when Brackin posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Tasean Love was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Hatton's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Danville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
