Alleghany had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Buffalo Gap on Tuesday. The Mountaineers were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bison. Considering the Mountaineers have won eight games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the fourth in a row for Alleghany, bringing their record up to 12-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Buffalo Gap, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Alleghany will head out to challenge Wilson Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buffalo Gap, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Staunton at 5:30 p.m.
