Thales Academy Apex was handed a 29-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over the South Davidson Wildcats. The Titans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Among those leading the charge was Om Shah, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Mitchell, who had seven points.

South Davidson's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jude Matney, who scored seven points.

Thales Academy Apex's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Thales Academy Apex will face off against St. David's at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Davidson, they will take on East Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
