On Thursday Brayden Mathis pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The performance also marked the most strikeouts (three) Mathis has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one earned run. For the season, he has an ERA of 2.90 over 9.7 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Mathis and Alexander will head out on the road to challenge New Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are a perfect 10-0 against the Jaguar going back to March of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
