Scotts Valley had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Soquel on Monday. The Falcons blew past the Knights 12-2. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 Sofie Seese tossed a big game,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side, Scotts Valley got a  massive  performance out of  Gracie Delgado, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  Delgado has posted since back in May of 2024.  Natalie Murray-Skalland was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 Scotts Valley  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
The  victory was  the sixth in a row for Scotts Valley, bringing their record up to 15-5-1. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Soquel, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  on the road.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Scotts Valley is set to  take on  their familiar foe Harbor  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Soquel will  challenge  rival Aptos  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
