Basketball Recap: Ririe Drops Season-High Score on Salmon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ririe). They strolled past the Salmon Savages with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-41 on January 7th.

Salmon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Broc Matthews, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and five assists. Kyle Hyde was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 11 points and five boards.

Ririe has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Salmon, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Ririe will venture away from home to take on West Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salmon, they will host Firth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
