Volleyball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Independence Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, 25-9.

Independence was led to victory by Sofia Pichert and Madelyn Mudra. Pichert had 14 digs and three assists, while Mudra had ten digs. That's the most digs Pichert has posted over her last six matchups.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Independence, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity will challenge Beachwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Independence, they will venture away from home to take on North Royalton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
