Volleyball Recap: Golden Comes Up Short

Golden lost against Douglas County back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Demons fell 3-1 to the Huskies. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Trinity Simon paced Golden's offense, picking up 16 kills. Simon got some help from Dayton Ward and her 30 assists. Ward was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Golden's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Douglas County, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Golden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Ralston Valley on the 28th. As for Douglas County, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Heritage on the 25th.
