Pinecrest has gone a perfect 8-0 against Southern Lee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Patriots will take on the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Pinecrest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Pinecrest's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Richmond by a score of 2-0. Given Pinecrest's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Richmond are ranked 221st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anna Depenbrock was the driving force of Pinecrest's attack as she scored both of Pinecrest's goals, bringing her season total up to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Southern Lee waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Fighting Scots 8-1. The result was nothing new for Southern Lee, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Pinecrest has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those eight games. As for Southern Lee, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Pinecrest beat Southern Lee by a goal when the teams last played back in March, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
