Basketball Recap: Vassar Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Vassar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Reese Rockets and fell 68-35. The Vulcans lost against the Rockets in their previous head to head back in January of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-51 score last time.

Vassar's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chayce Zarko, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points and seven boards. Zarko is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Olivarez, who shot 45% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Vassar's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Reese, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Vassar has already played their next contest, a 69-48 loss against Caro on the 9th. Reese has also already played their next matchup (against Bad Axe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
