Basketball Recap: University Prep Piles Up the Points Against Lucerne Valley

University Prep won the last time they faced Lucerne Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The University Prep Jaguars blew past the Lucerne Valley Mustangs 58-23. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Jaguars this season.

University Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JOSHUA OKEKE, who posted 16 points. OKEKE's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of DONALD McFARLIN, who earned 14 points.

The victory made it two in a row for University Prep and bumps their season record up to 4-8. As for Lucerne Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

University Prep will face off against Riverside Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lucerne Valley, they will welcome Victor Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
