Football Recap: Kiowa Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Kiowa played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Hanover Hornets 66-20. The Indians have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Thomas Griffin Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hanover, rushing for 369 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 16.8 yards per carry, and also catching one score. Griffin Jr. was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. Nolan Sweazy was another key rusher, rushing for 31 yards and one TD.

Kiowa's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hanover, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kiowa will challenge rival Miami-Yoder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hanover is set to square off against their familiar foe Bethune at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Griffin Jr. and Ismael Perla.
