Baseball Recap: Randolph County Comes Up Short

Randolph County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 13-9 to the Weaver Bearcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Daniel Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Robinson, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.

Randolph County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Weaver, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-14.

While Randolph County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
