Basketball Recap: James Kenan Key Part of a Team Effort in Stallions Win

Southeast Alamance won against Jordan-Matthews on Friday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Southeast Alamance Stallions strolled past the Western Alamance Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 63-45. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Warriors are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southeast Alamance got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was James Kenan out in front who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Kenan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Donnie Fairley, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Southeast Alamance and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for Western Alamance, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Southeast Alamance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-39 win against Bartlett Yancey on the 4th. As for Western Alamance, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-54 victory against Williams on the 4th.
