It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Arroyo ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oakland Tech Bulldogs, sneaking past 7-6. With that victory, the Dons brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Matthias Martinez looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Christain Salling, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Marco Carbajal, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Arroyo now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Oakland Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Arroyo will challenge Ukiah at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Dons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oakland Tech, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Castro Valley on the 20th.
