Baseball Recap: West Orange Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

West Orange got themselves on the board against Apopka on Wednesday, but Apopka never followed suit. They came out on top against the Apopka Blue Darters by a score of 3-0. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.

The result came thanks to Parker Hohnstock's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, West Orange saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Goodmon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Goodmon also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

West Orange has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. With the loss, Apopka broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.
