Baseball Recap: Roane County Comes Up Short

Roane County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Doddridge County Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

A RICHARDSON made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Roane County is 2-1 when RICHARDSON posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-10 otherwise.

Roane County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Doddridge County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Coming up, Roane County will head out on the road to challenge Scott at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Doddridge County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
