Baseball Recap: Aurora Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Adams Central, Aurora was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against Thurston-Cuming County by a score of 5-2. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 15-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dane Comer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

With the win, Aurora broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-11. As for Thurston-Cuming County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Aurora will face off against St. Paul/Palmer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thurston-Cuming County, they have already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Fort Calhoun on the 29th.
