Softball Preview: Waltrip Rams vs. Sterling Raiders
Waltrip has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sterling recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rams will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 8:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Waltrip has 17 straight wins, Sterling has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Waltrip is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Madison on Monday as they made off with a 19-2 victory. Considering the Rams have won 14 matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Danielle Ward was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Holley Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and four RBI.
Meanwhile, Sterling fell victim to Spring Woods and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-0.
Waltrip pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Sterling, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
