Central Falls won the last time they faced Achievement First Providence, and Jamilson De Pina Almeida did his part to make sure it happened again. The Central Falls Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 victory over the Achievement First Providence Falcons on Saturday thanks in part to De Pina Almeida, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 20 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 14 games he's played.

Achievement First Providence lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Steven Rodriguez, who posted 12 points. Stephen Adedire was another key player, putting up nine points.

Central Falls' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. As for Achievement First Providence, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Central Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-48 victory against Providence Country Day on the 10th. As for Achievement First Providence, they will square off against Prout at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prout knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Achievement First Providence likes a good challenge.
