Football Game Preview: Marvell Mustangs vs. Hermitage Hermits

Marvell is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Hermitage Hermits at 7:00 p.m. Marvell will be strutting in after a victory while Hermitage will be coming in after a loss.

Marvell took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Friendship Aspire Academy 26-0.

Meanwhile, Hermitage faced Brinkley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hermits were beaten by the Tigers 50-18. The Hermits have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hermitage's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Marvell, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Marvell against Hermitage in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, as the team secured a 49-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
