After losing to Alexandria the last time they met, Hartselle decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Valley Cubs on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Hartselle never let Alexandria on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18.

Brenna McReath paced Hartselle's offense, picking up seven kills. McReath got some help from Maddy Johnson and her 17 assists. McReath was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hartselle's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Alexandria, their loss ended a 22-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 23-4.

Hartselle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Guntersville on the 13th. As for Alexandria, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Oxford on the 15th.
