Basketball Recap: Village Takes a Loss

Village was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 61-32 loss at the hands of the La Grange Leopards. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

La Grange found their leader in sophomore Campbell Cooper Sg 2027, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 20 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Trlicek, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 14 points and seven assists.

Village's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for La Grange, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Village and Schulenburg will face off at 11:40 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. La Grange will take on Taylor in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on December 20th at.
