Volleyball Recap: Fort Scott Comes Up Short

Fort Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Louisburg Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Fort Scott sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-14.

Fort Scott's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Louisburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Fort Scott and Louisburg will both be playing Girard the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
