Gulf Coast won the last time they faced North Fort Myers and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Gulf Coast Sharks won by a goal and slipped past the North Fort Myers Red Knights 2-1. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Red Knights are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Gulf Coast back to even at 5-5-1. As for North Fort Myers, their record now sits at 2-7-2.

Gulf Coast wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Fort Myers on the 13th. As for North Fort Myers, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Mariner on the 13th.
