Softball Recap: San Dieguito Academy Comes Up Short

San Dieguito Academy was the 6-5 winner over Oceanside when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 8-5 to the Pirates on Thursday.

Willow Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Early, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

San Dieguito Academy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-5-1. As for Oceanside, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. San Dieguito Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oceanside will square off against rival Canyon Crest Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
