Football Recap: Waterloo Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Waterloo finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 36-0 defeat at the hands of the Poynette Pumas. The Pirates have struggled against the Pumas recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Having lost for the first time this season, Waterloo fell to 3-1. As for Poynette, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Waterloo will square off against rival Cambridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Pirates 12, the Bluejays 7) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Poynette is set to take on their familiar foe Pardeeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
